Kamalakar Bhat is Professor and Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre for English of Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. He is a bilingual writer and a translator. He has published three collections of poems in Kannada, two collections of translated poems, and has edited a collection of essays. He writes regular columns for magazines. His academic writings have appeared in research journals, both national and international. He translates between English and Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, and Urdu languages.
